The nearby hotels are     a bit away from the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. This stretch has has enough mileage, it's good length for a morning trip. Briefly about the general area: Hiking along the Twin Lakes Trail is good fun, and you can have a tremendous hiking adventure along the Forty Mountain Trail.   Black River gets a large amount of water; the wettest month of the year is regularly August, that's the one that rains the most; February is when it's the driest.
