The natural beauty of New York and the playfulness of the water attract people from near and far. The Northway to Boquet section of Boquet River in New York is 16.6 miles long and has been rated as a class II-IV section by American Whitewater. Great exercise and just hanging out with mother nature are great reasons to come. The beauty of the Adirondack Mountains is a great plus for this     river. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of spots for that. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside New York you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so if you're not from around here don't forget that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The campgrounds here at Boquet River are pretty good. If you have the time you can make this a two day trip, so pack your camping stuff. The Northway to Boquet stretch is one of many paddling stretches in this river system. Briefly about the general area: From a precipitation point of view Boquet River is a quite normal site; most of the rain falls   through August, and the driest month of the year is January. At Boquet River through the warm days of summer highs are in the 70's. Summer nighttime lows plunge down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's; overnight lows in the 0's for Boquet River.
