This section of Bowman Creek in Chenango County is 2.2 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class II-III+ section. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. The starting location is a short drive from Binghamton, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get     lost. This is a short paddling stretch so better bring some good walking shoes. A good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors have people coming from far and near. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way there are not so many other good places for that around here. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. The County Road 3 Bridge to Buckley Hollow Bridge section is the only paddling section along Bowman Creek.
