The County Road 3 Bridge to Buckley Hollow Bridge stretch of Bowman Creek in New York is 2.2 miles long and has been rated as a class II-III+ section by American Whitewater. This is a bit of a short stretch     so no need to bring snacks. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are not so many other good rivers for that around here. Bowman Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling sections, the County Road 3 Bridge to Buckley Hollow Bridge section is the only one. The scenic beauty of Chenango County and the cool fresh water attract people from near and far. Getting a good workout and just being out on the river for a while are great reasons to come.
