Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in New York tend to be more challenging than the national average, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that lots of rivers here are not for beginners. The natural beauty of Chenango County and the water flowing gracefully down Bowman Creek make the trip     here worthwhile. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. The County Road 3 Bridge to Buckley Hollow Bridge section is the only paddling section along Bowman Creek. Getting some good exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are sure to keep you coming back for more. This is a bit of a short stretch so you'll have to walk back to the start over and over. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set.
