Whitewater rafting and kayaking in New York is often more difficult than elsewhere, so keep in mind that rivers here are not as easy as elsewhere. Getting a good workout and just hanging out with mother nature have people coming from far and near. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are lots of good places for that around here. The scenic beauty of Essex County and the sparkling of the sunlight     on the water will make you feel great. There are some good sections to paddle in this river system, the Boreas Road to Palmer Pond section is one of them. The beauty of the Adirondack Mountains is a great plus for this river. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, you can easily run it on an afternoon. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. All the outdoors entertaining stuff in the Adirondack Mountains will keep you coming back time and again.
