New York whitewater - Canandaigua Outlet, Ontario/Wayne County Ontario/Wayne county, Littleville to Manchester section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.   CLASS II-III     2.3 miles   The nature scenery of New York and the playfulness of the water make the trip here worthwhile. The starting point is not too far from Rochester, as you can see on the road map further down. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in New York is often more difficult than elsewhere, so if you're not from around here don't forget that a large number of rivers in this state are not easy. This is a pretty short section so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. Getting some good exercise and just hanging out with mother nature have people     coming from far and near. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. Canandaigua Outlet doesn't have a lot of paddling sections, the Littleville to Manchester section is the only one. This stretch of Canandaigua Outlet is 2.3 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class II-III section. There are plenty of hotels here if you want to spend a night, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with not too many other spots for that. Briefly about the general area: All through the long summer days at Canandaigua Outlet highs are usually in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are ordinarily in the 30's; nighttime lows at Canandaigua   Outlet through the wintertime commonly fall into the 10's. A common amount of precipitation falls here at Canandaigua Outlet; through the month of September you get the most rain around here, and February is when it's the driest.
