For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. Canisteo River doesn't have a lot of paddling     stretches, the Canisteo to Addison stretch is the only one. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just being out on the river for a while have a lot of people coming here. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, there are not so many other good rivers for that around here. You can enjoy this stretch more if you take your time, so why not pack your camp stove too. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination.
