The beautiful scenery of Fulton/ Montgomery County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream attract people from near and far. The Ephratah to Route 5 section of Caroga Creek is 9.5 miles long and has been rated as a class I-III section by American Whitewater. There are some good hotels near the river, but do book a room before you come because     it is a very popular destination. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this area has a large number of paddling places. A bit of exercise and just being out on the river for a while are sure to keep you coming back for more. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, good for a one day paddling trip.
