The Harrisburg Road to Tenant Creek stretch of East Stony Creek in New York is 6 miles long and it is classified as a class III-IV section by American Whitewater. If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more demanding, so better not forget that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving. This stretch has has enough mileage, suitable for an afternoon trip. Since you're on this site you     are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of places for that. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. There are a few other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well.
