The Tenant Creek to Old State Highway section of East Stony Creek is 8 miles long and is a class II-V section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in New York are often tougher than in other states, so keep in mind that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. The Tenant Creek to Old State Highway stretch is one of a few paddling stretches in this river system. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination.
