Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, and if you make reservations in advance you're all
set. If you have the time you can make this a two day trip, so why not pack your camping stuff too. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way there are lots of good spots for that around here. The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Kingston, there's
a road map further down the page with more info on that. This is not the only paddling section in this river system, there are others too. Whitewater paddling here in the Catskill Mountains is a great experience. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. A bit of exercise and just hanging out with mother nature are great attractions for lots of people.
