This section of Fall Creek in New York is 1 miles long and it is classified as a class IV-V section by American Whitewater. There's camping available near Fall Creek. Getting some good exercise and spending some quality time in nature are sure to keep you coming back for more. There are some good stretches to paddle in this river system, the Cornell Plantations to Beebe Lake stretch is one of them.     This is an extremely short section so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. The wonderful New York scenery and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream will make you feel great. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way in this general area you'll find lots of paddling rivers. Lodging is available near the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Briefly about the general area: From a rain point of view Fall Creek is a reasonably normal place; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is January. For the duration of the warm months at Fall Creek temperatures   are ordinarily in the 80's with night lows in the 50's. Through the wintertime the highs are generally in the 30's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Fall Creek temperatures descend to the 10's. A short tour to Ithaca Falls is always worthwhile; if you're here you will meet lots of people from nearby Ithaca.
