If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside New York you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so don't forget that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. The nature scenery of Albany/ Schoharie County and the playfulness of the water will make you feel great. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just hanging out with mother nature will have you coming back for more. On this section you do     get some distance, you can easily run it on an afternoon. There are no other stretches to paddle along Fox Creek than the West Bern to Vrooman Corners stretch. If you'll be staying in a hotel you're in luck, lodging is available very near the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way there are lots of good rivers for that around here.
