The starting location is a short drive from Gloversville, as you can see on the road map further down. The beautiful scenery of New York and the cool fresh water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. This is an extremely short stretch so you'll have to walk back to the start over and over. A good workout and spending some quality time in nature have a lot of people coming here. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. No matter if you're whitewater
rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of paddling places. The river winds through the Adirondack Mountains and you get great scenery. Georgia Brook doesn't have a lot of paddling sections, the Along trail to Route 8 section is the only one. Whitewater rafting
