  If you're coming from Glens Falls it's not a long drive at all to the put-in location, as you can see on the road map further down. The Above Diprill Road bridge to G section of Glen Creek in warren County is 4.5 miles long and is a class III-IV section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. This stretch is mid length, you can easily run it on an afternoon. There arenít
    any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. The Above Diprill Road bridge to G section is one of a few paddling sections
in this river system. The wild scenery of the Adirondack Mountains is great. The scenic beauty of warren County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream have people coming here. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside this state you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so don't forget that many runs in this state are not easy. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't  
matter, this is an area with plenty of spots for that. A bit of exercise and just being out on the river for a while will have you coming back for more.

People from Athol love to come to Glen Creek, and Hickory Ski Center is a wonderful local ski area. Whohoo, so much amusing stuff in one place! The Adirondack Mountains is excellent!. The amount of rainfall that falls at Glen Creek is close to the national average. August is the wettest month with most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. For the duration of the months of summer highs here at Glen Creek get into the 70's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's.
