The beautiful scenery of New York and the playfulness of the water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. Getting some good exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are sure to keep you coming back for more. This stretch has has enough mileage, it's good length for a morning trip. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but do book a room before     you come because it is a very popular destination. The starting point is not too far from Ogdensburg-Massena, as you can see on the road map further down.
