The natural beauty of St. Lawrence County and the cool fresh water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. A good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great attractions for lots of people. This is not the only paddling section in this river system, there are others too. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often tougher than in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind     that a lot of the rivers here are not suitable for beginners. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. If you have the time you can make this a two day trip, so go ahead and pack your sleeping bag. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this area has a large number of paddling places. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp.
