The wonderful St. Lawrence County scenery and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water attract people from near and far. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in New York tend to be more challenging than the national average, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that many runs in this state are not easy. This stretch of Grass River - North Branch in St. Lawrence County is 6.5 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class II-IV section. Getting your paddling muscles activated and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great attractions for lots of people. Lampsons Falls is a pleasant local attraction, and Donnerville State Forest is a brilliant forest neighborhood nearby.
