The beautiful scenery of St. Lawrence County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream make the trip here worthwhile. The Clare Road to Grass River stretch of Grass River - North Branch in New York is 6.5 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class II-IV section.
