The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in New York are often tougher than in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. On this section you do get some distance, good for a one day paddling trip. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination.
