The beautiful scenery of Clinton County and the water flowing gracefully down Great Chazy River are reasons enough to come here and paddle. The Miner Lake to Mooers section of Great Chazy River in New York is 11 miles long and it is classified as a class IV+ section by American Whitewater. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in
advance because these hotels fill up quick. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way there are lots of good rivers for that around here. Getting some good exercise and just hanging out
with mother nature will have you coming back for more. This section is long enough for an overnight trip if you take your time, so pack your camp stove. There are a few other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well.
