The beautiful scenery of New York and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water beats anything. This section of Hudson River in New York is 3.6 miles long and it is classified as a class I-V section by American Whitewater. This is not the only paddling section in this river system, there are others too. This stretch is short so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. Great exercise and spending some
quality time in nature are great attractions for lots of people. There are nice comfortable hotels here, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this area has a large number of
paddling rivers. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside New York you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so better not forget that a large number of rivers in this state are not easy. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby.
