  The beautiful scenery of Saratoga/Warren County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream attract people from near and far. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in New York tend to be more challenging than the national average, so you'd better keep in mind that a lot of the rivers here are not suitable for beginners. This stretch of Hudson River in New York is 6.4 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class
    I-V section of whitewater. The put-in is not too far from Glens Falls, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a large number of paddling
rivers. This is not the only paddling section in this river system, there are others too. Getting your paddling muscles activated and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great attractions for lots of people. This stretch has has enough mileage, you can easily run it on an afternoon. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby.

Places like Saratoga Spa State Park are magnificent to check out, and
 
at Hudson River you always meet someone from Glens Falls. On a lovely day you can visit Haviland Cove Beach next to Hudson River, and delightful skiing awaits you at West Mountain. Lots of fun awaits you along this river. Moreau Lake State Park is a picturesque spot any time of year. Hudson River mostly gets a large amount of precipitation. November is the month that gets the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. During the summer months highs here at Hudson River reach the 70's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and nighttime lows at Hudson River during the winter frequently dip into the 0's.
