  If you're coming from Glens Falls it's not a long drive at all to the put-in location, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. The scenic beauty of Saratoga/Warren County and the playfulness of the water have people coming here. This stretch of Hudson River in Saratoga/Warren County is 2.15 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class I section. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or
    both, doesn't matter, there are lots of good rivers for that around here. This river system is full of great paddling sections, the Feeder Dam to Glens Falls section is just one of them. There are many good hotels to choose
from, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in New York are often tougher than in other states, so better not forget that many runs in this state are not easy. A bit of exercise and just being out on the river for a while are great reasons to come. The campgrounds here at Hudson River are pretty good.

Moreau Lake State Park is
 
a splendid location; West Mountain has wonderful slopes and a friendly staff. Hudson River is not far at all from Glens Falls; a visit to Haviland Cove Beach is always a delightful idea. At this river you will always have a good time. A trip to Saratoga Spa State Park revitalizes the soul. A good deal of precipitation falls at Hudson River. The wettest month of the year is mostly November, that's the one that rains the most while February is regularly the driest month. At Hudson River throughout the summertime highs are in the 70's. Summer nighttime lows dip down to the 50's.
