The Natural Bridge to Antwerp section of Indian River is 20 miles long and has been rated as a class II section by American Whitewater. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are lots of good rivers for that around here. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. This section has enough     mileage for an overnight trip, so go ahead and pack your camp stove. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in New York are often tougher than in other states, so better not forget that rivers here are less forgiving. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. A bit of exercise and just being out on the river for a while will have you coming back for more. Indian River doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the Natural Bridge to Antwerp stretch is the only one. The wonderful New York scenery and the water flowing gracefully down Indian River are reasons enough to come here and paddle.
