This stretch of Indian River is 13 miles long and it is classified as a class III-IV section by American Whitewater. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in New York are harder than the national norm, so keep in mind that a lot of the rivers here are not suitable for beginners. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. This is the only paddling stretch along Indian River. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around
here you'll find a large number of good spots. Getting some good exercise and spending some quality time in nature have a lot of people coming here. This section has enough mileage for an overnight trip, so pack your camp stove. The beautiful Adirondack Mountains scenery is an
