The beautiful scenery of New York and the cool fresh water will make you feel great. This is a pretty decent length section, suitable for an afternoon trip. The beauty of the Adirondack Mountains is a great plus for this river. There's camping available near John's Brook. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in New York tend to be more challenging than the national average, so if you're not from around here don't forget that lots of rivers
