This stretch of Kaaterskill Creek is 12 miles long and it is classified as a class II-III section by American Whitewater. This stretch is long enough for an overnight trip if you take your time, so pack your camping stuff. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this is an area with plenty of spots for that. Getting a good workout and spending some quality time in nature are great attractions for lots of people. You can pitch     a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. The natural beauty of New York and the playfulness of the water make the trip here worthwhile. Whitewater paddling here in the Catskill Mountains is a great experience. This is the only paddling section along Kaaterskill Creek. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in New York are harder than the national norm, so you'd better keep in mind that lots of rivers here are not for beginners. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination.
