New York whitewater - Keuka Outlet, Yates County Yates county, Penn Yan to Dresden section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.   CLASS I-III(V+)     7.5 miles   This stretch of Keuka Outlet in Yates County is 7.5 miles long and has been rated as a class I-III(V+) section by American Whitewater. The beautiful scenery of Yates County and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water beats anything. The Penn Yan to Dresden section is the only paddling section along Keuka Outlet. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way around here you won't find a large number of other rivers. This stretch has has enough mileage, it's good length for a morning trip.
