The Howe Road to Mill Road stretch of Lake Ozonia Outlet in New York is 2.5 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class IV-V+ section. The nature scenery of Franklin/ St. Lawrence County and the cool fresh water beats anything. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside New York you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that many of the sections     here are not safe for beginners. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination.
