The put-in location is a short drive from Ogdensburg-Massena, as you can see on the road map further down. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. The beautiful scenery of St. Lawrence County and the cool fresh water make the trip here worthwhile. This is a pretty decent length     section, you can easily run it on an afternoon. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a large number of paddling rivers. The Aldrich to Oswegatchie stretch of Little River is 6.2 miles long and is a class II-III section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. Little River doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the Aldrich to Oswegatchie stretch is the only one. When you're paddling down a Adirondack Mountains river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. A good workout and spending some quality time in nature will make you glad you came. Briefly about the general area: All through the summer months here at Little River, high temperatures regularly get into the 70's; the night is a little colder of   course, regularly in the 50's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 20's; nighttime lows through the wintertime for Little River tend to be in the 0's. A normal amount of rain falls here at Little River; August is the wettest month with most rain; February is when it's the driest.
