Little Trout River doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the Burke to US 11 stretch is the only one. This is a pretty short section so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking,     either way there are lots of good rivers for that around here. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. This stretch of Little Trout River is 2 miles long and has been rated as a class IV-V section by American Whitewater. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in New York is often tougher than elsewhere, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that the rivers in this state are less manageable. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car.
