The beautiful scenery of New York and the cool fresh water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in New York are often more challenging than in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that rivers here are less forgiving. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a large number of paddling places. Getting some good exercise and just hanging     out with mother nature are great attractions for lots of people. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. This stretch has has enough mileage, good for a one day paddling trip. This is one of a small number of paddling sections in this river system, there are a few others too. The Adirondack Mountains scenery is wonderful. Briefly about the general area: While you're here at Little Woodhull Creek you can take a hike along the Stone Dam Trail. For the period of the summer highs here at Little Woodhull Creek reach the 70's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's with temperatures at Little   Woodhull Creek dipping down into the 0's through winter nights.
