  The put-in location is a short drive from Malone, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. The beautiful scenery of New York and the water flowing gracefully down Marble River have people coming here. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in New York are often tougher than in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that many runs in this state are not easy. No need to look hard for hotels, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Getting a good workout and just being out on the
    river for a while have people coming from far and near. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this is an area with plenty of spots for that. There's camping available near Marble River. This is a somewhat short section so no need to bring snacks.
Marble River doesn't have a lot of paddling sections, the Route 374 to Cooks Mill section is the only one.

Briefly about the general area:
During the summertime months, highs mostly are in the 70's at Marble River, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 20's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Marble River temperatures plunge to the 0's. All the water falling down from the sky makes Marble River a wet location; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and the driest month of the year is February.
