The scenic beauty of New York and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water beats anything. The put-in is not too far from Glens Falls, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master in this state than those in other states, so better not forget that rivers     here are not as easy as elsewhere. A good workout and just hanging out with mother nature are great reasons to come. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are lots of good spots for that around here. The river winds through the Adirondack Mountains and you get great scenery. This is a pretty decent length section, it's perfect for a one day trip. This is the only paddling stretch along Mill Creek. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Briefly about the general area: Mill Creek is a good place of common rainfall; all through August this area sees the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Throughout the long summer days highs here at Mill Creek get into the 70's. Once the   sun is down it drops down to the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are usually in the 20's with temperatures at Mill Creek dipping down into the 0's through winter nights.
