The scenic beauty of Orange/ Sullivan County and the cool fresh water make the trip here worthwhile. This is a short paddling stretch so no need to bring snacks. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this area has a large number of paddling spots. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. And of course,     there are campgrounds nearby. A bit of exercise and just being out on the river for a while are great attractions for lots of people.
