The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The Strauss YMCA Camp to Claryville section is one of many paddling sections in this river system. For     all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. The beautiful scenery of New York and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle.
