The Feeder Canal to Stittville stretch of Ninemile Creek is 6 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class II section. If you're coming from Utica-Rome it's not a long drive at all to the starting location, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. This stretch is mid length, it's perfect for a one day trip. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in     New York are harder than the national norm, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that the rivers in this state are less manageable. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. The Feeder Canal to Stittville stretch is the only paddling stretch along Ninemile Creek. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are lots of good places for that around here. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. Getting your paddling muscles activated and a chance to spend some time outdoors have people coming from far and near.
