This stretch of Ouleout Creek in New York is 6.5 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class I-III section of whitewater. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels     fill up quick. A bit of exercise and just hanging out with mother nature have people coming from far and near. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, there are not so many other good places for that around here. This is a pretty decent length section, it's perfect for a one day trip. There's camping available near Ouleout Creek. Briefly about the general area: During the summertime months highs here at Ouleout Creek get into the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's.
