New York whitewater - Ouleout Creek, Delaware County Delaware county, Wagner Hollow Road Bridge to Route 357 section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.   CLASS I-III     6.5 miles   This section of Ouleout Creek is 6.5 miles long and it is classified as a class I-III section by American Whitewater. The starting location is a short drive from Oneonta, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Great exercise and just hanging out with mother nature are great attractions for lots of people. There's camping available near Ouleout Creek. This section is long     enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, you can easily run it on an afternoon. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside New York you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so better not forget that a lot of the rivers here are not suitable for beginners. The natural beauty of New York and the playfulness of the water will make you feel great. The Wagner Hollow Road Bridge to Route 357 stretch is the only paddling stretch along Ouleout Creek.
