This section of Piseco Outlet in New York is 4 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class II-III section. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a large number of paddling spots. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just hanging out with mother nature will have you coming back for more. And of course, there are campgrounds     nearby. This stretch has has enough mileage, it's good length for a morning trip. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The put-in location is a short drive from Gloversville, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. The wonderful Hamilton County scenery and the cool fresh water make the trip here worthwhile. The Route 10 to West Branch Sacandaga stretch is the only paddling stretch along Piseco Outlet. The beauty of the Adirondack Mountains is a great plus for this river. Briefly about the general area: Piseco Outlet is a rather wet place frequently with a lot of rain; August is when you get the most rain here, and February meanwhile is   the driest month. Summer at Piseco Outlet comes with high temperatures in the 70's; the overnight is quite colder of course, mostly in the 50's.
