Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often more difficult than elsewhere, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that many runs in this state are not easy. The nature scenery of New York and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. A bit of exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors have people coming from far and near. The Route 10 to West Branch Sacandaga     section is the only paddling section along Piseco Outlet. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Whitewater paddling here in the Adirondack Mountains is a great experience. This stretch is mid length, you can easily run it on an afternoon. The starting point is not too far from Gloversville, as you can see on the road map further down. There's camping available near Piseco Outlet. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way there are lots of good places for that around here.
