Whitewater rafting and kayaking in New York is often tougher than elsewhere, so keep in mind that rivers here are less forgiving. The beautiful scenery of Greene / Ulster County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream will make you feel great. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. Plattekill Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the Platte Clove Road to West Saugerties stretch is the only one.
