Popolopen Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the to Popolopen Bridge stretch is the only one. There are nice comfortable hotels here, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. The campgrounds here at Popolopen Creek are pretty good. This stretch of Popolopen Creek is 4 miles long and is a class IV-V section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. Briefly about the general area: Through the summer at Popolopen Creek highs are ordinarily in the 70's, and the nighttime is a bit chillier of course, commonly in the 60's. Highs all through the winter are commonly in the 30's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Popolopen Creek plunge into the 10's. Near Popolopen Creek you locate Deep Hollow which is a wonderful location to check out. There is a great hiking trail close to Popolopen Creek called the Stillwell Lake Trail, and you must explore Hell Hole when you're here. Popolopen   Creek is a rather wet place regularly with a large amount of rain; the wettest month of the year is generally May, that's the one that rains the most; February on the other hand is the driest.
