The scenic beauty of Hamilton County and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often more difficult than elsewhere, so better not forget that a large number of rivers in this state are not easy. Whitewater paddling here in the Adirondack Mountains is a great experience.     This stretch is mid length, you can easily run it on an afternoon. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of paddling places. Great exercise and just being out on the river for a while have a lot of people coming here. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. There are some good sections to paddle in this river system, the Forked Lake Campground to Deerland section is one of them.
