The Liebhardt to Mill Brook section of Rochester Creek is 5.5 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class II-III section of whitewater. The starting location is a short drive from Kingston. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside New York you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so don't forget that rivers here are not as easy as elsewhere. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just hanging out with mother nature     are sure to keep you coming back for more. This stretch has has enough mileage, suitable for an afternoon trip. The Liebhardt to Mill Brook section is the only paddling section along Rochester Creek. There are nice comfortable hotels here, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good rivers. Briefly about the general area: A good deal of rain falls at Rochester Creek; the month with most of the rain is November while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. All through the warm days of summer highs here at Rochester Creek get into the 70's while nighttime lows are generally in the 50's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are regularly in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Rochester Creek.
