New York whitewater - Roeliff Jansen Kill River, Columbia/ Dutchess County
Columbia/ Dutchess
county,
Ancram to Elizaville section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.
CLASS I-III 14 miles
Hey, for anyone interested in kyaking or Canoeing down the Ro-Jan Kill beware: There are many downed trees, which in an instant could pin you down and end your life. No one maintains this water way, and in many sections you will be forced by naturally occurring dams to get out of your canoe, or kyak and walk you and your vessel down stream through thickets of nettle. Personally I completed a trip down this beautiful stream unaware of the many deadly stimuli. So if in the near future you plan to get away from everything, just take note to the above. Says
