Whitewater rafting and kayaking in New York is often more difficult than elsewhere, so keep in mind that a lot of the rivers here are not suitable for beginners. This section is long enough for an overnight trip if you take your time, so why not pack your sleeping bag too. A good workout and just being out on the river for a while have a lot of people coming here.
