  The starting point is not too far from Glens Falls, as you can see on the road map further down. The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master in this state than those in other states, so don't forget that rivers here are less forgiving. The natural beauty of Saratoga County and the water flowing gracefully down Sacandaga River have people coming here. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby.
    This section of Sacandaga River in New York is 3.5 miles long and it is classified as a class II-III section by American Whitewater. Getting a good workout and spending some quality time in nature are sure to keep you coming
back for more. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way in this general area you'll find lots of paddling places. This is a pretty short section so no need to bring snacks. The wild scenery of the Adirondack Mountains is great. This is not the only paddling section in this river system, there are others too. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay  
the night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick.

Briefly about the general area:
A tour to Sacandaga River wouldn’t be complete without a spree to close by Saratoga Spa State Park. During your trip to Sacandaga River you'll meet some people from Lake Luzerne for sure. Don't leave Sacandaga River without going to Moreau Lake State Park, and skiing at West Mountain is one of those things you just must do. This river is so wonderful. One of the best things about Sacandaga River is its proximity to Haviland Cove Beach. Sacandaga River is a wet site that gets lots of precipitation.
