The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often tougher than in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that a large number of rivers in this state are not easy. The wonderful Franklin County scenery and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. The starting location is a short drive from Malone, if you're     not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors have a lot of people coming here. No shortage of good hotels, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car.
