The nature scenery of New York and the cool fresh water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. If you're coming from Malone it's not a long drive at all to the put-in location, as you can see on the road map further down. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are lots of good rivers for that around here. Whitewater rafting and kayaking     spots in New York are harder than the national norm, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that rivers here are not as easy as elsewhere. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just being out on the river for a while are great reasons to come.
