This stretch of St. Regis River - East Branch is 6 miles long and is a class III-V+ section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The nature scenery of New York and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water will make you feel great. The starting point is not too far from Malone, as you can see on the road map further down.     And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. On this section you do get some distance, good for a one day paddling trip. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick.
