The Quebec Brook to Spring Cove section of St. Regis River - Middle Branch in New York is 8 miles long and it is classified as a class IV-V section by American Whitewater. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in New York is often tougher than elsewhere, so if you're not from around here don't forget that many runs in this state are not easy. The wild scenery of the Adirondack Mountains is great. There are plenty of other sections in this river system
    that can be paddled as well. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good rivers. The natural beauty of Franklin County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream attract people from near
and far. Great exercise and spending some quality time in nature have a lot of people coming here. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. The campgrounds here at St. Regis River - Middle Branch are pretty good. This stretch has has enough mileage, it's good length for a morning trip.
