The beautiful scenery of New York and the cool fresh water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often more difficult than elsewhere, so don't forget that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. This section of St. Regis River - West Branch is 3 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class II section. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time     outdoors will have you coming back for more. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, around here you'll find a large number of good spots. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. There are plenty of other stretches in this river system that can be paddled as well. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground.
