The Headwaters to Canaseraga Creek section of Sugar Creek in Livingston County is 1.7 miles long and it is classified as a class IV-V section by American Whitewater. This is the only paddling section along Sugar Creek. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just being out on the river for a while are great reasons to come. There aren’t any hotels right     nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this area has a pretty small number of paddling rivers. This stretch is short so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. The beautiful scenery of Livingston County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream have people coming here.
