New York whitewater - Thirteenth Brook, Adirondack Mountains, Warren County
Warren
county,
to Hudson River at North River section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.
CLASS IV-V+ 2 miles
This section of Thirteenth Brook is 2 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class IV-V+ section of whitewater. The wonderful Warren County scenery and the playfulness of the water have people coming here. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. This is a pretty short section so better bring some good walking shoes. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. You might be into whitewater
rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, there are lots of good places for that around here. Getting a good workout and just hanging out with mother nature will make you glad you came. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often tougher than in other
states, so better not forget that a large number of rivers in this state are not easy. The Adirondack Mountains scenery is wonderful. This is the only paddling stretch along Thirteenth Brook.
